Shout out to Unison!!

We were extremely proud of NZ for the first day which held the adrenylin of excitement continuously. Today was the first time (ever) that Hiphop International actually invited NZ to perform on the main stage our annual tradition of the Haka at the World Hiphop Championships Country Orientation and Opening Ceremony.

Each year NZ (although not planned in the programme) present our Haka to the top street dance performers from around the world and still each year... New Zealand amaze them. The Haka has now become one of the competitions highlights that has everyone in "awe" of our performance attitude we New Zealander's bring to the competition stage!

The video blog includes their Haka and the thousands of performers from all the countries filming with and taking pictures. It truly is our proud moment of sharing our NZ culture with the world.

. . . . . . . . .

VARSITY Division PRELIMINARY Round began at 7pm with 38 varsity teams (highschool age) entering from 25+ different countries. Our gorgeous all female crews Sorority & Emerge represented NZ so well. Emerge entering the stage with stunning uniforms and style followed by Sorority who brought an agressive impact. This was both crews debut at the World Champ event in which the crowds responses expressed the quality of their debut.

Varsity Results: Advancing to the SEMI FINALS

Out of 38 crews - 19 crews advanced to semi finals

Emerge placed 12th

Sorority Placed 4th
